The Azulita Project offers an Outreach Coordinator internship position focused on reducing single-use plastic, resource conservation and community education. The Outreach Coordinator’s intern responsibilities are split between three interrelated programs: 1. Straw Free Flagstaff campaign; 2. weekly educational outreach, event planning, and tabling at community events; 3. providing research and support to the Azulita Project’s initiatives related to recycling, resource conservation and community engagement.
Preferred internship duration: May 2021 through August 2021. For interns seeking academic credit, the Azulita Project will work with academic departments to meet requirements of internship courses. All Outreach Coordinators will be expected to complete a minimum of 75 hours to be considered for the position. An award stipend is available at the completion of the internship.
